2013 HALLOWEEN HORROR MOVIE ROUND UP

Having been universally applauded as the ultimate horror connoisseur, I have forever been branded the official go-to guy whenever anybody wants to know the name of a good horror flick. As would be expected, and with Halloween right around the corner, even the most casual of film buffs are going to be grabbing the popcorn along with the remote and heading to the couch, only to be scared right off of it and onto the floor. Scary times are good times.

Everybody loves a good horror movie, am I right? Well, anybody that we care to know here at the Deadbydawn horror blog page. All horror fans have their personal favs. Those being the movies they will watch over and over again again, all while thrilling in vile delight each time to the fact that these films never get old. Still others are always on the look out for new terrors to experience. It should be noted that since this blog is a repost I, the Gitche Manitou, will always be on the look out for cool new horror flicks. As we have been reposting our blogs here on the new site I have taken to updating them a little when necessary. This shall not be one of those cases because since I posted this original blog I have yet to see one movie that deserves to be added to this list. So yeah, pretty much fuck new movies and go rent yourself one of the many classics listed below.

I figured since Halloween is just ahead that I would make a list of films for anybody to check out in case one were to be looking for something new. New to them I mean. New, old, you name it.... we got you covered. We even took the time to break the list down into sections. Era's. Director's. Genre's. All essential. I even marked particular films as Deadbydawn page favorites, as picked by both myself and Filthy Regan.

There are certainly many films that lots of people have already seen many times. But, one never knows who has seen or not seen what films. Therefore, I listed the well knowns right alongside the more obscure titles. I am sure there is something for every taste on this list and, as comprehensive as it might be, I will have no doubt forgotten some. Still, when it comes to the absolute mandatory viewing in horror, these are some of the films that we here at Deadbydawn  would suggest you all check out before making that couch/floor dive.

***** Do note that in our methods of breaking films down by section, some were obvious crossover potentials. For these films, we have used our own judgement in classifying them*****
